It would be a wonderful ATL LSA initiative if the LSA Student hones up their skill for ATL activity. All these software are more engaging then computer games and a good platform for their learning presentations. All this software develops the design aptitude of the child - A very essential 21st-century skill.   

 

 

LEGO Digital Designer 

This software should be practiced in class 6. Its a wonderful drag and snap software for the student to learn 3D Design. It is an open software form the makers of LEGO. All students are supposed to download (URL is given below) and learn it from the Youtube Tutorial. Keyword "LDD Tutorial". All students must submit 2 projects by the end of May.   Adobe Flashplayer is a must!

GIMP 

GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a free and open-source raster graphics editor used for image retouching and editing, free-form drawing, converting between different image formats, and more specialized tasks. On certain parameters, it is better than Photoshop. This task is for class 7. All student must download this software directly from the internet (URL given below). All students must learn it from a Youtube tutorial and must submit 2 projects by the end of May. The project should not only reflect the GIMP tool usage but should have some real-world application, for example, Covid19 poster. The best work will receive school recognition. This is an essential skill for some of the national level competition.

123D Design- This is an old Autodesk open-source software. Very good for beginner and have very good carry forward effect for higher software of the same maker such as 3ds Max. This ATL activity is for Class 8. All the students are supposed to download the required software and go through the 123D Design tutorial on youtube. Once the school open they must submit the two 3D project in.STL file format. Only the best and unique project will be selected for printing at the ATL Lab. The top 3 final innovative products will be listed on the official ATL LSA Facebook page, Dashboard and Pinterest and receive the certificate. Please check the version of your desktop or laptop by clicking on my computer and then on properties. Download the appropriate version from the below-given link.

LDCAD – Lego Digital (Computer-Aided Design).

This software is the higher version of LDD. This software is for class 6. LDCad is an interactive 3D editing software for editing LDraw (virtual lego) in real-time. A great software to play and learn with. It is an excellent Design tool for students.

Many students are not able to submit their project due to the problem with the previous software. Now please download this software with the help of the Software download manual. Please follow the Manual as per the given information for the smooth functioning of the software. Any deviation will lead to improper function.

Note:- Please be informed that every student from class 6, 7 and 8 must submit their ATL project latest by July 12, 6 pm. The projects will be evaluated for mid-term ATL grades. Any project submissions, after the date, is not acceptable.
