WATER & ELECTRICITY AUDITS

A CLASS V STUDENT'S INITIATIVE

Most philanthropists want to be effective altruists. But the problem is measurement. Audit processes help us to evaluate our social investments. Following audits were conducted by the students of class V as an extension of the chapter Global Warming- Causes and Effects.

WATER AUDIT:

This provided a way to keep an inventory of all water uses in our facility and identify ways to increase water use efficiency. The results helped us to prioritize steps to implement water-saving measures by repairing the leaky faucets.

ELECTRICITY AUDIT:

This helped the students to list down the areas of concern in our school so that we can resolve the problems that are causing us to use more electricity than necessary, thus wasting money and doing more damage to the environment than required.
